QUALIFICATIONS OF SPALDING McARTHUR NIX, J.D.: Spalding Nix majored in both Art History and Studio Art at the University of Virginia. After working at Jackson Fine Art for a year after college, Mr. Nix attended the University of Georgia's School of Law specializing in Intellectual Property and International Law. During his undergraduate and law school summers, Mr. Nix worked at The National Gallery of Art on their Design and Development team and in the General Counsel's Office of The Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. After passing the Georgia Bar, Mr. Nix worked as an art consultant for Novo Arts and then for Sotheby's in their Client Development group working closely with Sotheby's Appraisal & Valuations Department. In the fall of 2003, Mr. Nix opened Spalding Nix Fine Art & Antiques. Mr. Nix is an Accredited Member of the American Society of Appraisers and specializes in the appraisal of fine art, antiques and collectibles.
