Lee Scafidi

Mr. Lee "Max" Scafidi is a highly experienced marine professional with over fifteen (15) years of sailing in the marine transportation industry, with a strong background in shipboard leadership and management. After graduating from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 2006, Mr. Scafidi embarked on a successful career as an officer aboard coastwise and oceangoing U.S. Flag oil tankers, as well as Captain on near coastal and inland towing vessels. He holds an oceangoing license as a Master of self-propelled vessels less than 1,600 gross registered tons, a Master of Towing Vessels Upon Oceans, and a Second Mate's license of any gross tonnage.

In addition, Mr. Scafidi is also an experienced National Association of Marine Surveyors (NAMS) Certified Marine Surveyor and Marine Asset Appraiser. He has conducted numerous surveys and appraisals of various inland and oceangoing vessels, barges, cranes, and waterside facility equipment, and specializes in the appraisal of commercial marine assets. His expertise in marine surveying and comprehensive knowledge of conducting appraisals allows him to assess the condition and value of marine assets accurately.

Mr. Scafidi's qualifications extend to his membership in the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), where he has completed all four (4) modules of Machinery and Equipment Valuations. He is well-versed in industry standards and conducts marine appraisals compliant with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
