Joel Goldsmith ASA, ARM

Joel Goldsmith, ASA-ARM, CSA, has over 30 years of experience in the appraisal profession, having served in the employ of leading appraisal firms and industrial auctioneers. Joel currently serves as Director of Appraisal Operations for Great American Group Advisory and Valuation Services, L.L.C. overseeing machinery and equipment valuations for financial, commercial, and industrial uses.

He has a background specializing in financial services, consulting, and in the valuation of industrial plants, machinery, equipment, and other tangible assets. He has spent a significant portion of his professional career in the employ of leading industrial liquidation and appraisal firms. During this time, he gained an insight and understanding of the dynamics of industrial auctions and liquidation sales in addition to his valuation activities. Joel's appraisal and valuation activities have encompassed a wide range of equipment types.

Joel has been accredited with the American Society of Appraisers and the Association of Machinery & Equipment Appraisers and currently holds Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and Certified Equipment Appraiser (CEA) designations. Additionally, Joel holds a Certified Senior Appraiser designation (CSA) from the Equipment Appraisers Association of North America in addition to participating in many continuing education programs relative to used industrial machinery and equipment. Joel is qualified to opine within a range of value concepts as applied over a wide spectrum of equipment categories and industries.
