Frances Zeman

Frances Zeman, FASA, is President and Head Appraiser of Appraisal Resource Associates, Inc. (ARAI), an internationally-recognized firm in business for over three decades. Ms. Zeman is fully qualified for her profession, with an undergraduate degree from New York University and a Master of Arts degree in Art History. She has completed coursework in Fine and Decorative Arts through programs at NYU, Long Island University, The New School of Social Research, Pratt Institute, and The Attingham Trust abroad. Her practical education includes seminars and coursework at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Cooper Hewitt Museum, Sotheby's, and Christie's. Ms. Zeman brings a working knowledge of the retail antiques and gallery business, and a background in interior and contract design with emphasis on the decorative arts. ARAI provides comprehensive appraisal services, consultations on the purchase and sale of fine art, antiques and decorative arts, de-accessioning services, and management for corporate and large collections. All services comply with the Appraisal Foundation's Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). Ms. Zeman personally oversees every appraisal produced by the firm.
