Chantal Wilson-Mahaffey

Chantal Wilson-Mahaffey, principle appraiser for Wilson Art Management Services, is an experienced collections specialist. She provides professional appraisal, visual art advisory and collections management services for public institutions, private collections, corporate clients as well as departments of government. Chantal has experience developing internal policies, assessing appraisals, managing collections, processing acquisitions and advising on preservation issues. She has a specific expertise in photography, photographic materials, photographically illustrated books and works on paper.

Chantal holds a Bachelor of Arts, Honours, in Art History from the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon (2009) and a Master of Arts in Photographic Preservation and Collections Management from Ryerson University, Toronto (2011). She has completed the Core Course in Appraisal Studies (2015) and is compliant with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
