Beth Doughty ASA, MGA®

Beth Doughty is an independent Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Master Gemologist Appraiser® (MGA), and Certified Master Appraiser (CMA) specializing in the appraisal of modern, vintage and antique fine jewelry, diamonds, gemstones, watches, and silver flatware. An appraiser with a family history in the jewelry business, Beth has over 35 years' experience in the retail, wholesale, distribution and design sectors of the jewelry industry. She provides appraisal services for estate tax calculation, estate and financial planning, insurance valuation, loss claims, equitable distribution, charitable donations, litigation and divorce. Beth also undertakes litigation consulting and expert witness assignments.

Ms. Doughty earned her Graduate Gemologist (GG) diploma in residence from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in 1995. She received her Certified Master Appraiser credential from the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers in 2013, and her Accredited Senior Appraiser and Master Gemologist Appraiser® credentials from the American Society of Appraisers in 2014. She is the only one of three appraisers in the United States to possess these credentials.
