Andrea Roth

Roth | Escher Art Group is a full service appraisal and collection management firm, which serves clients nationwide. We provide valuation services for insurance coverage, damage/loss claims, estate and gift tax, estate planning, charitable donations, divorce & division of property, bankruptcy, collateral valuations and artist estates. We also work with private collectors as well as corporations and public institutions to provide collection management services including sale and purchase consultation, art investment advice, market condition analyses, and art asset collection cataloging.

Andrea Roth has an M.A. and Ph.D. in Art History from University of Southern California. In her appraisal practice, she specializes in European and American paintings and sculpture, primarily from 1700 to the present. She has been in the art field for close to 30 years as an academic, gallery administrator and art appraiser. She is Roth Fine Art Appraisals^ principal appraiser and supervises all appraisal functions at the company. She is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), American Society of Appraisers. Prior to founding Roth Fine Art Appraisals, Andrea taught Art History at UC Davis, UC Riverside and Santa Clara University. She worked at the J. Paul Getty Trust Art History Information Program and was Assistant Editor of the Art Bulletin. As a Fulbright Scholar she studied Northern Italian Renaissance Art History while living in Italy. Andrea currently serves on the Board of Directors of St. Mary^s College Art Museum and lectures on art collecting and valuation for insurance professionals, estate planners, attorneys and collectors.
